OUR WORK

 Skill Development

Teaching the women

The teaching process starts small with learning how to make chains and control the hook and yarn before going further. In order to teach the women, we had 3 sessions over 3 weeks, teaching how to make single crochet stitches, increasing and decreasing with them to make round objects. The initial round of funding also allowed us to give them the materials, and a small amount for their time and effort along with a new skill!

By providing this skill training, we cultivate confidence and independence

Ensuring Safety

Cleaning the Toys

To ensure the toys were free from germs and safe to be played with, they were dry-cleaned in a safe environment. Afterwards, they were shrink-wrapped to make it easier and less time-consuming to clean them in the future even if they get contaminated.

Distribution

Joy for Children

The distribution happened with our partner hospitals where I visited some of the patients in their care units. Despite being unwell, they were so incredibly grateful and cheerful to receive that one toy that it made the whole initiative worthwhile! Each toy donation to underprivileged children represents our commitment to spreading warmth and smiles in our community.

Fundraising

Through Milaap

From November to December 15th, we raised ₹1,00,000, bringing together 50 incredible supporters through Milaap. This campaign proved that when people unite for a cause, the smallest contributions can weave hope into many lives.

Distribution 2

Larger scale = More smiles

On Christmas Eve, we distributed over 150 toys to children in AIIMS and Safdarjung hospitals. They were incredibly excited to receive these gifts and it truly made their celebration special!
